Burning Fuses- Published Fiction

This is a personal project that I am very proud of.

While in college, I had the opportunity to study Creative Writing alongside Advertising. At the time, I was unaware of copywriting, and I just wanted to improve my skills as a fiction writer. It’s always been a passion of mine. Ever since I was a kid, I’ve ripped through books faster than movies, tv shows, and even video games (though those would become a passion later in life.) When that kid who loved books so much discovered he could actually write them as well? I was hooked.

I’ve been writing ever since. Short stories and hand drawn comics eventually turned into skits for high school plays, scripts for short film competitions, and novel drafts. When I picked up creative writing in college, our professor pushed us to get something published. I had “self published” a few things by then, but nothing to this scale and quality. Sadly, the original site that this story was published on (as assigned by the class) has since been taken down by Amazon. But, I still have the story, and I would be a shame if it was doomed to reside only on my harddrive forever.

This is Burning Fuses, a short novella I wrote and edited in college along with the rest of my class. I will never forget that class in particular as one of my favorite memories at UNI.
